Team Total Taekwondo Shines on the European Stage – Days 1 & 2 Highlights + Record-Breaking GB Success!

The 2025 European Taekwondo Poomsae Championships kicked off in Tallinn, Estonia, and what an unforgettable start it’s been. Athletes from across the continent have come together to showcase incredible skill, passion, and sportsmanship — and Team Total Taekwondo has proudly made its mark among Europe’s best.

Over the two days of competition, our athletes Eddie and Naomi represented Great Britain with strength, focus, and determination. Whether it was on the mat solo or side by side as a pair, they gave everything in each performance — and it paid off in medals, experience, and moments that will stay with them for a lifetime.

Day One: Rising to the Challenge in the Individual Divisions

Eddie – U14 Dan Male Individual

Eddie opened his campaign with calm confidence and a warrior’s mindset. Facing a series of strong opponents, he delivered round after round of powerful, composed performances:

- Round of 16: 🇬🇧 vs 🇷🇸 – WIN ✅

- Quarterfinal: 🇬🇧 vs 🇩🇰 – WIN ✅

- Semifinal: 🇬🇧 vs 🇹🇷 – WIN ✅

- Final: 🇬🇧 vs 🇬🇷 – LOSS ❌

🥈 EUROPEAN SILVER MEDALIST

An incredible achievement for Eddie, whose consistent performances and strong mindset led him all the way to the final. We're beyond proud of his run and the maturity he showed at this level.

Naomi – U14 Dan Female Individual

Naomi stepped onto the European stage with composure and determination. In a competitive quarterfinal against a skilled Spanish athlete, she showed confidence and technique throughout.

- Quarterfinal: 🇬🇧 vs 🇪🇸 – LOSS ❌

Though she narrowly missed a medal this time, Naomi gained vital international experience and showed that she belongs among Europe’s best. Her journey is just beginning!

Day Two: A Dynamic Duo Brings Home Bronze

Eddie & Naomi – U14 Dan Pair

Back on the mats together, Eddie and Naomi joined forces in the U14 Dan Pair category. Their harmony, timing, and team spirit stood out as they advanced to the podium:

- Quarterfinal: 🇬🇧 vs 🇬🇷 – WIN ✅

- Semifinal: 🇬🇧 vs 🇫🇮 – LOSS ❌

🥉 EUROPEAN BRONZE MEDALISTS

A brilliant result and well-deserved recognition for their teamwork and technical skill. The chemistry between them was clear, and their performance was a proud moment for the entire Total Taekwondo team.

History Made: GB Poomsae National Team Sets New Record

It’s not just our athletes we’re celebrating. The entire GB Poomsae National Team achieved something truly historic in Tallinn, delivering the best-ever performance by a British team at the European Poomsae Championships.

From juniors to seniors, and individuals to pairs and teams, the entire squad delivered performances full of heart, precision, and pride.

Spotlight on the GB Para Squad: Europe’s No. 1 Para Team

One of the most inspiring stories of this championship belongs to the GB Poomsae Para Squad, who delivered a phenomenal performance across the board.

With a total of:

- 🥇 3 Gold

- 🥈 2 Silver

- 🥉 1 Bronze

the Para Squad’s efforts secured 1st Place Overall in the Para Team rankings officially making them the best Para team in Europe! 🇬🇧🏆

This incredible achievement highlights the strength, dedication, and spirit of our Para athletes. Their performances were packed with passion and technical excellence, and their victory brought pride and inspiration not just to the team, but to everyone watching.

The success of the Para Squad is a powerful reminder of what’s possible when hard work, belief, and opportunity come together. They are true champions in every sense.
