The 10th Mayor’s Cup in Harrogate was an incredible showcase of hard work, discipline, and growth from every athlete on our team. Below is the full breakdown of performances, results, and the stories behind them.

Edward – Dan U14 Male Individual

🏅 Result: Gold – Dan U14 Male Individual


Edward delivered a standout performance. After a month of focused work on power and breathing technique, he stepped onto the mats ready to dominate and he did exactly that. A commanding display that secured a well-earned gold.


Blanca – Dan U17 Female Individual & Team

🏅 Individual: Quarter-Finalist (6th in cutoff round)

🏅Team: Gold – Dan U17 Female Team


Blanca continues to impress. Finishing 6th in a tough cutoff of 15+ athletes, she then met teammate Naomi in the quarter-finals one of the toughest moments of the day from a coaching standpoint. Blanca listens, works hard, and never gives excuses. Her podium moment in individual events is coming.


Naomi – Dan U17 Female Individual & Team

🏅 Individual: Silver – Dan U17 Female Individual

🏅 Team: Gold – Dan U17 Female Team


Naomi is attacking the U17 category with serious momentum. In only her second U17 competition, she defeated the 2025 National Champion in the semifinals before taking silver against a strong opponent from NTC. With a friendly rivalry building with NTC, Naomi is pushing for that No.1 spot and she has the fire to get there.


Luca – Dan U14 Male Individual & Team

🏅 Team: Gold – Dan U14 Male Team


Luca is making waves in his first year as a U14 athlete. His improvement has been consistent, his confidence growing, and with a strong team around him, he’s on track to reach Edward’s level very soon.


Jacob – Dan U11 Male Individual & Team

🏅 Individual: Bronze U11 Male

🏅Team: Gold – Dan U11 Male Team

Jacob has been pushed hard in training because we know what he’s capable of. His Harrogate performance proved his progress, showing better control, understanding, and work ethic. A well-earned result and a step toward bigger achievements.


Holly – K2 Cadet Female Individual & Pairs

🏅 Individual: Gold – K2 Cadet Female Individual

🏅 Pair (Total & Pulse): Gold

🏅 Pair (Total, Lisburn & NTC): Gold


After an inconsistent 2025, Holly came into 2026 with something to prove and she delivered triple gold. Her renewed focus and application in training are showing exactly what she’s capable of when she trusts her ability.


Nelly – K2 Peewee Female Individual & Team

🏅 Individual: 9th of 18

🏅 Team: Silver – K2 Peewee Female Team


Nelly has undergone months of hard coaching after difficult results last season. The progress she showed in Harrogate was huge confidence, technique, and discipline all improved. A podium finish in individual events is coming soon. She’s building momentum at exactly the right time.


Julie – K2 Peewee Female Individual (Debut) & Team

🏅 Individual: 11th of 18 (Competition Debut)

🏅 Team: Silver – K2 Peewee Female Team


Julie stepped onto the mats for the first time with the simple goal of gaining experience and enjoying the moment. She did exactly that. With no pressure and no expectations, she now has her first competition under her belt and a team bronze to go with it.


Norah – K2 Peewee Female Individual & Team

🏅 Individual: Bronze – K2 Peewee Female Individual

🏅 Team: Silver – K2 Peewee Female Team


Norah showed fantastic adaptability on the day, adjusting her technique between rounds and earning herself a podium finish. She tied with the silver medallist but placed lower on presentation. No excuses, we know what needs work, and she’s already focused on targeting silver or gold next time.

Final Thoughts

Harrogate wasn’t just a competition it was a statement. Our athletes showed grit, composure, teamwork, and the willingness to push themselves past their comfort zones. The medals are fantastic, but the growth is what matters most.

2026 has started with power, progress, and purpose.And the best part?We’re just getting started.
