Uniform regulations in Taekwondo are not merely about aesthetics; they reflect the discipline, respect, and tradition inherent in the martial art. Ensuring that students adhere to these regulations is essential for maintaining the integrity of Taekwondo training. Here's a detailed guide to the uniform requirements for Taekwondo and Ninja students, as well as for Sport and Poomsae classes.

Taekwondo and Ninja Students

  1. Full DOBOK Uniform Including Belt

  2. Total Taekwondo T-shirt + Dobok Pants (Or Total Shorts) + Belt

  3. Total Taekwondo Hoodie + Dobok Pants (Or Total Shorts) + Belt

*Belts have to be worn EVERY CLASS!

Sport & Poomsae Class

  1. Full Dobok Uniform Including Belt

  2. Total Taekwondo T-shirt + Dobok Pants (Or Total Shorts) (NO BELT)

  3. Total Taekwondo Hoodie + Dobok Pants (Or Total Shorts) (NO BELT)

*Taekwondo shoes are NOT permitted for sparring!

Students must only wear Total Taekwondo Uniform or World Taekwondo approved Dobok. We do not accept:

1.      Leggings

2.      Non Total T-shirts or Shorts

3.      Tracksuit Pants

4.      Non Total Taekwondo Hoodies

Additional Guidelines

1. No jewellery to be worn during training

Jewellery can cause injuries or get damaged during training. It must be removed before class.

2. Long hair must be tied back

Keeping hair tied back ensures that it does not obstruct vision or become a distraction during training.

3. Fingernails and toenails are to be neatly clipped

Neatly clipped nails prevent accidental scratching or injury to oneself or training partners.

4. Ear rings must be removed or plastered over

Earrings can be a safety hazard. They must either be removed or securely covered with plaster to prevent injury.

Non-Negotiable Rules

These uniform regulations are non-negotiable and must be strictly adhered to. Students who turn up with the incorrect uniform will not be allowed to train from September (allowing time for communication and adjustments).

Ensuring compliance with these rules maintains the discipline, respect, and safety that are the cornerstones of Taekwondo training.

By following these guidelines, students not only show respect for the traditions of Taekwondo but also contribute to a safe and focused training environment.
